Core Pilates Studio is an independent studio situated in the Hunter Valley, NSW. The welcoming atmosphere and supportive teaching style saw the studio quickly outgrow their branding and the capabilities of their website.
The studio needed to refresh their branding so it more accurately reflected their brand personality and values. The website wasn’t receiving nor retaining traffic due to unclear design and a lack of clarity in the messaging.
How could Pounce grow the Core Pilates brand and website while retaining the essence of the brand that made it so popular with customers to begin with?
Pounce worked closely with the Core Pilates Studio team in order to best showcase the studio brand. When it came to the visual identity of the brand, the client requested the colour palette included a strong navy colour with orange accents. The Pounce design team made the palette more cohesive with the addition of two more shades of blue.
Core Pilates wanted to retain the essence of their logo, however, the design was too complex, not digitised and didn’t translate well to smaller screens. The Pounce design team took the previous logo and transformed it into a sleeker, modernised version. To complete the new brand look, two font families were selected; one for its modern look and legibility in paragraphs and the other to create more contrast in design.
In order to create a more user-friendly website, Pounce created a sitemap and copyedited the site to be SEO-optimised, before moving on to design and build. The new website was designed with a cleaner feel in mind with greater visual impact. Providing art direction for the photography, the new images display the diversity of the attendees and the copy clearly communicates the brand messaging and what makes the studio so unique.
